Archbishop Cyril Gamini's media spokesman, Father Cyril Gamini, has clarified that the Catholic Church has no interest in the Easter attack commission report that former MP Udaya Gammanpila intends to make public. He urged all parties not to use the tragic Easter event for political gain.

Father Gamini emphasized that the Catholic Church never requested the former president to appoint an investigative committee for the Easter attacks. He also called on Mr. Gammanpila to refrain from interfering in ongoing investigations, asking him to let the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) handle the matter thoroughly and independently.

Father Gamini's message is a reminder to prioritize justice and fairness over political agendas, especially in sensitive cases like the Easter tragedy.
