Sri Lanka's Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development, Jeevan Thondaman, has been recognized as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The announcement, made on April 4, highlights Minister Thondaman's impactful work in expanding access to clean water and championing social justice initiatives.

In a statement, the Ministry of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development emphasized the historic significance of this achievement, as Minister Thondaman is the first Sri Lankan Minister to receive the prestigious YGL title.
