Sri Lanka's Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development, Jeevan Thondaman, has been distinguished as a Young Global Leader (YGL) by the World Economic Forum (WEF).


The WEF announced Minister Thondaman's inclusion in the YGL community on April 4, acknowledging his efforts in enhancing access to clean water and championing social justice initiatives.


In response to this recognition, the Ministry of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development released a statement underscoring the historic nature of this achievement. Minister Thondaman has become the first Sri Lankan Minister to receive this prestigious YGL title.
